This Saturday, June 20 at 10am EDT, two teams of LPGA Tour players, celebrities, influencers and golf executives will take to their Peloton Bikes, riding live with Alex Toussaint in a #RaceForeUnity while coming together to create opportunities and break down barriers in golf. Proceeds will benefit LPGA*USGA Girls Golf and PGA Works.
The LPGA*USGA Girls Golf team, captained by Girls Golf alumna and 2-time LPGA Tour winner Morgan Pressel, will be riding for the Renee Powell Grant. The newly established grant will provide opportunities and access to young children in black communities to learn not only the game of golf, but valuable life lessons along the way.
The PGA WORKS team, captained by former LET player and current GOLFTV broadcaster Henni Zuel, will be riding for the PGA WORKS Fellowship. Through a one-year paid opportunity, the Fellowship aspires to engage and inspire aspiring talent from all backgrounds to gain first-hand experience in golf operations.
In addition to the LPGA players taking part, notable riders include: Mike Whan, LPGA Tour Commissioner; Annika Sorenstam, LPGA Hall of Fame member; Jason Gore, Senior Director of Player Relations for the USGA; Suzy Whaley, PGA of America President; Kira K. Dixon, 2015 Miss America; and Shane Bacon, Fox Sports TV Announcer.
Those who do not have a Peloton Bike are still invited to join and pledge. Participate through a 30-minute workout or activity of your choice at any time over the weekend, encouraging your friends to support you.
