Two-time Ladies European Tour winner Alison Lee was honored with the Pechanga Athlete on Another Level award at the 21st Unforgettable Gala, the Asian and Pacific Islander Awards on December 16. The award is given to an athlete with “outstanding achievements in sportsmanship and athleticism” and Lee was selected after setting a 54-hole scoring record en route to her second professional victory on the LET in October as well as being a “role model to young athletes everywhere.”
Five-time LPGA Tour winner Michelle Wie West and two-time Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim presented Lee with the award and Wie West took to Instagram after the event saying, “Thank you @character.media @unforgettablegala for having me last night present an award to my baby sis @thealisonlee with @chloekim. I’m so proud of everything you have accomplished and persevered past and I know this is only the beginning for you!”
Lee first became an LPGA Tour member in 2015, and the 28-year-old has earned 21 top-10 results throughout her career, five of which came during the 2023 season and three of which were three consecutive T2 or better finishes in her last three tournaments of the year. She was a member of the 2015 United States Solheim Cup team and has made $3,850,842 in career earnings, $1,411,998 of which she collected this season.
