Six-time LPGA Tour winner Jessica Korda announced the birth of her first child on Monday, welcoming her son Greyson John DelPrete into the world on February 3, according to her Instagram.
Korda stepped away from LPGA Tour competition last May to rehab lingering injuries and then shared in August that she and her husband Johnny DelPrete were expecting their first baby, due in February. She is the first LPGA Tour member to have a child in 2024.
Korda has not competed on the LPGA Tour since the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup. In addition to her six victories, she has earned 44 other top-10 results and made $7,605,903 in career earnings since becoming an LPGA Tour member in 2011.
Korda represented the United States at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics alongside her sister Nelly, who won the gold medal, and has been a member of three U.S. Solheim Cup teams, most recently doing so in 2021.
