2013 Central Section Championship

Championship Division: Amanda McCurdy (71-75=146) won the division.  Marci Bozarth (76-73=149) and Lori Atsedes (72-77=149) tied for second place.

Senior Division Sherry Andonian-Smith (66) won by six strokes over Anne-Marie Palli (72).

Pro-Pro Division:  The team of Peggy Gustafson/Karen Davies (65) won the team championship by four strokes over Kay Cornelius/Cathy McVean (69)

2012 Central Section Championship

2012 Central Section Championship: 

Denver, Colorado native Stefanie Ferguson edged out veteran player Sherry Andonian-Smith (Castle Rock, CO) in a sudden death play-off during the final round of the 2012 LPGA Central Section Championship. Ferguson fired solid rounds of 72-76 to tie for first, eventually taking the Championship title and earning a coveted exemption into the field of the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship, an LPGA Tour major.

Elena King of Centennial, CO carded scores of 71-77, taking a seven-stroke lead over the field in the Masters Division (players ages 50+).

2011 Central Section Championship

Karen Davies of Carefree, Ariz., (right in photo) shot a consistent 71-71=142 to take the title in the Championship Division of the Fry's LPGA Central Section Championship presented by the Vineyard House at The Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Ariz.  Dede Cusimano of Basalt, Colo.,retained her first round lead (73-75=148) to win the Senior Division title.  Peggy Carroll ( 89-87=176) of Houston, Texas, won the Super-Senior Division.  With the win, Davies receives an exemption into the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship. Davies and Cusimano are also the 2010 LPGA T&CP National Champions in their respective divisions.  First Round Summary>> | Final Results>>

2010 Central Section Championship

Lisa DePaulo (right in photo with tournament host, Louisa Bergsma) fired rounds of 72-72 to capture the LPGA T&CP Central Section Championship at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas.  DePaulo, who won the 2007 LPGA T&CP National Championship, entered the final round two shots behind first-round leader Kristen Samp

Sandy Lemon shot rounds of 71-78 to clinch a two-shot victory over Elena King in the Senior Division.

2009 Central Section Championship


In near triple-digit heat, Terra Posthumus (left) of Phoenix, Arizona scored a 65 in the second round of the 2009 LPGA Central Section Championship, securing a spot in the 2010 LPGA Championship. Loretta Young from Mission, Texas won the Senior Division, carding a 74 during the final round.

2008 LPGA Central Section Championship

CATOOSA, OK – Sherry Andonian-Smith of Castle Rock, CO shot a 66 in her final round to win the 2008 LPGA Central Section Championship at Cherokee Hills Golf Course (77-66=143). Karen Davies from Carefree, AZ placed second with 74-73=147.

Winning first in the senior division, Vicki Woodcock from Austin, TX carded a 79-82=161.

2007 Central Section Championship

Bozarth wins LPGA Physicians Mutual Central Section T&CP Championship. 

LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Marci Bozarth (photo,right) (75-74=149)  overcame a two-stroke deficit after the first round of the LPGA Physicians Mutual Central Section T&CP Championship in Sun City, Ariz., on Sept. 19, to claim a one-stroke victory over runner-up Anne-Marie Palli (73-77=150) at the Sun City Country Club.  Bozarth, who is a T&CP Class A member from Austin, Texas, carded a field-best 74 during the final round to top Palli and claim that $2,750 winner's check.  Kristie Fowler (76-78=154), of Tucson, Ariz., rounded out the top-three individuals in the Championship Division with a final score of 154, while Penny Pulz (photo, left) (78-83=161), a Class A member from Phoenix, Ariz., took top honors in the Senior Division.

With the Championship Division victory, Bozarth earns her a spot in the 2008 McDonald's LPGA Championship Presented by Coca-Cola, where she will be joined by 2007 SkyCaddie® LPGA T&CP National Championship victor Lisa DePaulo, Southeast Section champion Annette DeLuca, Northeast Section champion Wendy Modic and the winner of the remaining LPGA T&CP section championship.  The 2007 Midwest Section Championship will be contested at Town and Country Club in St. Paul, Minn., on Oct. 9-10.

2006 Central Section Championship

Shannon Hanley (right in photo) of Steamboat Springs, Colo. won the 2006 LPGA T&CP Central Section Championship (76-71=147) at the Trophy Club Country Club in Trophy Club, Texas. For the first time Vicki Woodcock of Houston, Texas captured the senior division title.

2005 Central Section Championship

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – For the second year in a row, Sherry Andonian-Smith of Castle Rock, CO won the 2005 LPGA T&CP Central Section Championship presented by MasterCard (73-73=146) in a sudden death playoff with Lisa DePaulo of Austin, TX.

For the third consecutive year, Rosey Bartlett of Haslet, Texas captured the senior division champion title (76-77=153).
