Professional: Boykin’s career began in her native Germany where she was the first woman professional. Forced to enter men’s tournaments, she finished fourth in the German PGA. She was also advisor to German amateur teams in European competition. Boykin played the LPGA Tour from 1961-67 but played a very limited scheduled until she posted a solo third at the 1968 LPGA Championship. Her showing in that tournament encouraged her to compete full time. She has posted three second place finishes during her career. Her most recent was at the 1975 Southgate Ladies Open in Prairie Village, Kansas. Two years later she started cutting back her schedule again. A fourth place tie in the 1984 Potamkin Cadillac Classic marked her first top 10 showing since 1977, her last season of full-time competition.
