Ai Miyazato had the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week moving up 67 spots to No. 90 with her outstanding play at the Kia Classic. With her third place finish, former World No. 1 Ai Miyazato had her best finish in an LPGA event since a runner up finish at the 2013 JTBC Founders Cup. Her last top-10 also came that year, this time at the 2013 Lotte Championship.
“I haven’t finished Top-10 since, I don’t know, maybe a couple years ago, and finally I did it,” Miyazato said after the final round. “So I’m really satisfied what I did, and definitely gained my confidence.”
Other Notable Moves:
UL International Crown- Jessica Korda moved up one spot to No. 21 now sitting in the top bubble spot for Team United States. Team Sweden sits 11 spots off the the eighth team spot and hopes to make the final push this week at ANA Inspiration.
- The battle for the top spots for the Republic of Korea is tight. If the Olympics were played today four members would be playing for Team Korea: Inbee Park, Sei Young Kim, Ha Na Jang and Amy Yang.
