Since 1950, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has been committed to providing opportunities for women and girls to achieve their dreams in the game of golf.  Our goal at the LPGA is to change the face of golf, making the sport we love more accessible and inclusive. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of who the LPGA is and how we do business.

Consistent with that mission, the LPGA seeks to enhance supplier diversity with respect to procurement services by actively supporting the use of certified businesses owned or operated by underrepresented groups (e.g., minority, women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, people with disabilities, etc.) in the supply of products and services.  The LPGA recognizes the benefits of including such diverse suppliers and is committed to growing that representation in our purchasing.

Our objectives:

  • Actively seek out diverse suppliers that can provide price competitive, high quality goods and services and whose business is aligned with the LPGA’s values and objectives
  • Ensuring the inclusion of diverse suppliers as a part of our sourcing and procurement processes
  • Communicating the value of supplier diversity both internally and externally to key stakeholders
  • Supporting efforts to expand the use of certified diverse suppliers throughout our tournaments and the broader golf industry

Diverse supplier definition:

  • Minority-owned businesses are 51% owned and controlled by one or more US citizens from any of the following ethnic groups: African American or Black, Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Hispanic/Latin American or Native American
  • Women-owned, disability-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, or LGBTQ+ owned companies, that are 51% owned or controlled by one or more of the respective groups

As we honor our culture of “Act Like a Founder”, the LPGA stands up against racism, sexism, discrimination, and bias.  As such it is the policy of the LPGA not to discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, or veteran status and to ensure those seeking to do business with the LPGA are treated fairly.

The LPGA is very proud of the many communities we impact around the world and we welcome the opportunity to build relationships with diverse suppliers committed to supporting the mission of the LPGA.
