Madison Young, with a stunning performance at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic, has catapulted herself into the top spot in the season-long Race for the Card. Her remarkable ascent, moving up 38 spots in the standings with 598.750 points, is a testament to her skill and determination, both of which helped lift her to victory over the weekend. Jessica Peng’s T20 finish in Tuscon, Ariz., was enough to maintain second place, and she currently trails Young by a mere 11 points
After a missed cut at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic, Florida’s Natural Charity Classic champion Valery Plata has dropped to solo third, sitting less than 22 points behind Young with 577 points. In fourth is Ana Belac, with 571.667 points; the 27-year-old has three top 10s this season, including a tie for eight last week at Casino Del Sol Golf Classic. Rounding out the top five is Juliana Hung with 569.150 points, who captured a victory at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

The Race for the Card is a season-long points competition in which Epson Tour members accumulate points in every official Epson Tour tournament. The ultimate goal is to finish in the top 15 in the point standings to earn LPGA Tour membership for the 2025 season. The point-based system, which is new on the Epson Tour this season, replaces the money-based system and will award points to those who make the cut weekly.
The 2024 season will also be the first year that Epson Tour athletes will vie for 15 LPGA Tour cards awarded after the season-ending Epson Tour Championship in Indian Wells, Calif.
