Nike Golf athletes playing in the Wegmans LPGA are joining athletes, celebrities and people around the world this summer in support of LIVESTRONG and cancer awareness. Just as Lance will ride again this summer at the Tour de France with the goal of spreading the LIVESTRONG message globally, these athletes are using their "bikes"-golf bags and shirts, in this case-to turn their hope into action.
Nike Golf athletes wearing yellow in today's first round are Paige Mackenzie, Ashleigh Simon, Michelle Wie, and Amanda Blumenherst. At the end of this week the players will sign their LIVESTRONG golf bags which will be auctioned off at a later date, with all proceeds going to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Since 2004, Nike has helped the Lance Armstrong Foundation raise over $80,000,000 to help fight cancer. It started with the yellow LIVESTRONG wristbands and continues with the LIVESTRONG collection of footwear and apparel. Nike is encouraging everyone to Just Do It and LIVESTRONG.
