The countdown has begun, the race is almost over; and for ten rising stars, dreams are about to come true.
See who will become the newest members of the LPGA Tour, when the Duramed FUTURES Tour unveils its top ten money winners for this season. Ten talented young ladies will realize their dream of playing on the LPGA Tour when they are awarded their membership cards at the ILOVENY Championship on September 6, 2009 in Albany, N.Y
The "Race for the Cards" began four weeks ago, at the ING New England Golf Classic. The program focuses attention on those Tour members who are currently ranked in the Top 10 on the 2009 Duramed FUTURES Tour season money list. Players are easily recognized by the "Race for the Card" logo appearing next to their name on the Real-Time Scoring, by their caddies wearing bright yellow "Race for the Card" caddie bibs, or by the signature yellow flags affixed to the carts following their groups.
Watch duramedfuturestour.com, beginning Friday, September 4 for video updates from Capital Hills at Albany. The Duramed FUTURES Tour will use social media to keep fans connected to tournament play at the ILOVENY Championship in Albany. We will follow the tournament action as well as the Top 10 players who will earn their LPGA cards on Sunday, Sept. 6. The Duramed FUTURES Tour will provide live updates from the ILOVENY Championship in Albany from Friday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 6 with live streaming video updates, Twitter updates and fresh content on the Tour's Facebook fan page. Real-time scoring and all links to the social media will remain on duramedfuturestour.com. Fans around the world will then watch as ten players will be awarded their LPGA cards on Sunday, September 6 at approximately 5 p.m. EDT. The entire ceremony will be shown live via the website - only at duramedfuturestour.com.

From Friday through Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., former ESPN Anchor Betsy Ross will provide five-minute video updates from the leader board along with player interviews at the top of each hour. Last year's Player of the Year, Vicky Hurst, is currently competing on the LPGA Tour where she stands at 53rd on the LPGA Official Money List. Song Hee-Kim, the Tour's 2006 Player of the Year, currently ranks 11th on the LPGA Official Money List. Where will this year's class end up? Only time will tell. The final step on the "Road to the LPGA" takes place September 6-8, 2009 at the ILOVENY Championship.
