Bronte Law, Ruixin Liu, Moriya Jutanugarn

This week, Bronte Law returns to action after skipping last week’s event in Japan. She arrives in China looking to pick up where she left off before the break, recording a top 10 finish in her last two starts. Law is making her second appearance at Blue Bay where she finished T42 last year. She will play the opening round alongside Ruixin Liu and Moriya Jutanugarn. Liu will soon call the LPGA Tour her full-time home as she earned status via her solid performance on the Epson Tour in 2018 where she was a three-time winner and Epson Tour Player of the Year. Jutanugarn, like Law, is also coming back from a week off. She is making her fifth appearance at Blue Bay where she finished runner-up last year
Sung Hyun Park, Wenbo Liu, Danielle Kang
10:01 a.m. – 1st Tee
Former Rolex Rankings’ world No. 1, Sung Hyun Park, makes her first start since dropping out of the top spot in the world. Park, now ranked No. 2, is making just her second appearance at Blue Bay where she finished T3 in her debut in 2017. Park is grouped with Wenbo Liu and Danielle Kang during the opening round. Liu has had an impressive 2018 with three top-3 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Buick LPGA Shanghai. Kang is coming off a T41 finish last week in Japan. She is returning to Blue Bay for the first time since 2016 and is making her fourth appearance in the event.
Amy Yang, Yu Liu, Ariya Jutanugarn
10:12 a.m. – 1st Tee
Amy Yang is making a late season charge towards returning to the winner’s circle with back-to-back top 10 finishes in her last two starts. Yang has six more top 10s in 2018 but remains in the hunt for her first win of the year. The Korean will play the opening round with Yu Liu and Ariya Jutanugarn. Like Yang, Liu has been playing solid in recent weeks with a top 15 finish in her last two events. She’s making her fourth appearance in Blue Bay where she’s looking to crack the top 20 for the first time in her career. Jutanugarn, the new world No. 1, has consistently played well at Blue Bay where she has never finished worse than T16. She’s coming off a T19 finish last week in Japan.
Sei Young Kim, Shanshan Feng, Lee-Anne Pace
10:23 a.m. – 1st Tee
Three former winners of the Blue Bay LPGA will tee it up together for the opening round of this year’s event. Sei Young Kim, who won during her rookie season in 2015, will play alongside the 2014 champion Lee-Anne Pace, and defending champion Shanshan Feng. This week, Kim returns to Blue Bay for the first time since 2016 after skipping last year’s event. She is coming off a T34 finish last week in Japan. Pace is making her fifth appearance at Blue Bay where she picked up her lone LPGA victory in 2014. Feng, who won last year, has never finished outside the top 14 at Blue Bay.
