UPDATE: At the first playoff hole, Ko defeated Lee with an eagle at the par 5, 18th hole.
Minjee Lee and Lydia Ko are heading to extra holes at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship at Lake Merced Golf Club.
The pair finished tied at 12-under par through 72 holes.
Ko began the final round with the outright lead at 11-under par, three-strokes ahead of Lee. Ko is 4 for 5 in playoffs on the LPGA Tour. Her only playoff loss coming at the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship where she was defeated by Brooke Henderson. Lee is competing in her first playoff.
